Parafix Reaches Finals In Manufacturer Of The Year Award

Parafix Tapes & Conversions Ltd was awarded Runner Up in the finals of the Manufacturer of the Year Award at the recent Sussex Business Awards.
The results were revealed to an audience of over 500 business and civic leaders at a glamorous Oscar-style awards ceremony at the Copthorne Effingham Park Hotel and Resort, Gatwick, on November 16.
The awards ceremony and dinner was a unique and inspiring event designed to combine the fun and excitement of a glittering black-tie awards night with an invaluable opportunity to network with business leaders in the county. 12 trophies were up for grabs including the Best New Business Award, Entrepreneur of the Year and of course Manufacturer of the Year.
A record number of Sussex based businesses put in an entry for the county's premier business awards this year which made the task of judging increasingly difficult. The number of entries per category was up by 15% compared to Sussex Business Awards in 2005/06, and chairman of the judges Malcolm Diamond says it's not just the quantity that has risen.
"Not only have there been more entries than ever in 2006/07 but the quality of organisations entering was of an extremely high standard. Win or lose, the companies short listed have every reason to feel proud of their achievement in such a competitive year."
Parafix managing director Michael Punter was naturally disappointed not to win, but nevertheless heralds the award of Runner Up as a great achievement. "The fact that we were so close to winning this hard fought award shows just how much commitment and effort the Parafix team have put in this year, and they can all be very proud to be finalists."
