Parafix Proud To Support The Alchemist
Scrap Store
Instead of adding to the region's waste and landfill problems, Parafix has found a much better use for the end of rolls, offcuts and surplus stock from its warehouse in Lancing.
Parafix is proud to support an innovative waste recycling scheme called The Alchemist Scrap Store. Based in Worthing, it is dedicated to taking clean and uncontaminated 'waste' products from industry to help provide education and community groups with free art and craft materials.
This means that companies can give their waste products to a worthy cause that allows schools, colleges, scout groups and similar organizations access to a wealth of art and craft materials they might otherwise struggle to get hold of. This includes items such as adhesive tapes in Parafix's case, or bottles, buttons, old containers, and a host of similar items that would otherwise have to be disposed of in landfill sites.
So, the company does its bit for the community, the local community groups get a supply of craft materials, and there is less waste filling up our countryside - what a win-win situation for everyone!!
To find out more about the Alchemist Scrap Store, run by Worthing Borough Council, visit www.the-alchemist.org.uk or call Paul Elleston on 01903 235005. It is always looking out for new companies who can offer their 'waste' products, and as a non-profit organisation does an awful lot to help make our world a little bit better.
