: Parafix Continues to Invest in Team
Despite the economic downturn, Parafix recognises that in difficult times it is its team of skilled professionals that will help to steer the business to safety, and is pleased to announce the latest success in its ongoing NVQ courses.
Two further groups have now commenced NVQ levels 2 and 3 in Business Improvement Techniques. Over a four month period, the course aims to improve business efficiency through adoption of a continuous improvement policy. Key areas include eliminating waste, reducing defects and organising the workplace, as well as gaining an awareness of up-to-date management thinking.
Managing Director Michael Punter is very pleased with the success of the groups, as he explains; “Signing up to the NVQ BIT course is a fantastic opportunity for both the business and our employees. The company benefits from the improved thinking that every team member will bring to their role, whilst the employees themselves will have a strong vocational qualification that will stand them in good stead throughout their working careers.”
“There has been significant team building fringe benefits too, whereby employees who might not normally interact at work can now study alongside one another and gain a fresh perspective as to what other departments of our business contribute.”
The groups are pictured with NVQ trainer Shirley Urwin from Nelson & Urwin, and are congratulated by medium pace bowler Robin Martin Jenkins of Sussex C.C.C, for whom Parafix is a corporate sponsor.
