Parafix Hungaria Kft, the Hungarian division of Parafix Holdings Ltd, launched its new factory premises at an official Open Day held on Friday 18 April 2008 in Budapest.
The event played host to over 150 guests including customers, suppliers, UK colleagues and special guests, who were welcomed at a VIP drinks reception in the company's new 20,000ft 2 , state-of-the-art premises providing factory, warehouse and office accommodation for its 40 employees. The guests were greeted by general manager Ildiko Varay, followed by a series of welcome speeches given by managing director Michael Punter, founder John Shipley, as well as key suppliers 3M, Rogers Corporation and Tesa. The Open Day also saw the premiere of the company's new corporate video, introducing the new facility and showcasing Parafix's capabilities in Hungary. Parafix employees hosted a factory tour for the visitors, where the varied and diverse products the company produces for the automotive, healthcare, electronics and telecommunications markets were showcased alongside the machines that create them. Coaches then ferried the visitors to a local restaurant, where local dishes were served to the accompaniment of a live five-piece band. A tombola prize draw for Parafix Hungary customers contained a fantastic array of prizes including sumptuous hampers, tickets to the Hungarian Grand Prix, and a weekend in London courtesy of Parafix UK. Commenting on the event, managing director Michael Punter said; "My sincere thanks go to all of our team who made our Open Day so successful, it was a fabulous day and gave us the opportunity to demonstrate just how far our Hungary business has come in a very short space of time." General manager Ildiko Varay added; "Our Open Day was the perfect way to thank our customers and supply partners for their contribution towards the success of Parafix Hungary, and we look forward to continuing to develop these relationships over the coming months and years."
